Abu Ghosh

Peaceful coexistence between Jews, Arabs, and Christians. Of the 36 Arab villages that were located in the Judean Hills before 1948, Abu Ghosh is the only one that welcomed the Jews, even aiding them during the Jerusalem siege, and therefore remained intact, continuing to this day.

Biblical and historical sites – Kiriath Jearim; Abinadab’s House – site where the Ark of the Covenant rested for 20 years; Emmaus – where the disciples of Jesus encountered him, while traveling there, after the resurrection; the Crusader Church – one of the best preserved remains in Israel of the Crusader period
